As part of Nuveen School of Life, we are delighted to invite you to celebrate the colour and beauty of flowers through an evening of watercolour painting in the DSQ Western Courtyard.

Watercolour offers more than creative enjoyment; it is a mindful and relaxing practice that encourages us to slow down, observe closely and connect with the natural world.

In this workshop, you will create your own watercolour paintings of flowers previously featured in our Nuveen in Bloom event,  while exploring techniques such as:

Mixing and layering colour

Using loose brushstrokes to capture the shapes and character of flowers

Building depth and detail through washes, texture and contrast

Enjoy a drink while you paint. All materials will be provided. Suitable for all abilities, with no previous painting experience required. The class will be led by an art teacher from The Art Movement ensuring a friendly, supportive environment for all skill levels.
