Looking for easy and cool drawing ideas? Whether you have some experience in drawing or not, join us in this creative and fun class inspired by patterns. You’ll learn how to depict pattern that follows shape and discover charm in simple motifs.

 

THURSDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME

Dots’N’Spots – Shape & Texture

In this session you’ll explore different techniques that will allow you to portray the fluffy spots of a dalmatian puppy and the shiny dots of a ladybird. First your teacher will introduce you to loose and ‘splatty’ brushstrokes to portray the doggy texture. Next, we’ll learn how to create shine and shape with the use of watercolours.

 

THURSDAY 6th OCTOBER– 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME

Striped – Depth & Pattern 

In this class you will be introduced to the importance of line direction. Your teacher will demonstrate the power of lines and how you can manipulate them to create an illusion of three dimensionality on a flat canvas.

 

THURSDAY 13th OCTOBER – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME

Spiral Nature – Motif & Surface 

This week we’ll twist the lines. Starting with the centre of spiral, we’ll work on conveying shape of an object and developing three-dimensional illusion in your work.

This session is all about trying different techniques. You’ll explore and observe the nature of watercolours while developing a series of watermelon and pear paintings.

Blending it – Colour & Tone 

In this class you will be encouraged to explore colour blending while also experimenting with transparency. You’ll learn how to portray delicate petals and develop solidity in your work.

Wax-it Up – Wax & Shine

This week we’ll introduce the use of wax in watercolour paintings. Your teacher will show you how to use the repellent properties of wax and introduce best practices to obtain a realistic effect.

Tutti Frutti – Form & Depth

In this session you’ll be drawing kiwi, avocado, and blueberries. Your teacher will support you in developing shadow and form in your work to portray three-dimensional illusion on paper. You’ll learn how to take your watercolour skills to the next level whilst having a fun and productive eventing.

  • Watercolour paints
  • Paint brush (round and approximately size 10)
