Mindful Watercolours – Abstraction & Pattern Making
MAKING MANDALAS | SAND PATTERNS | BACK TO NATURE
Join us in combining painting and mark making to create beautiful, abstract works of art. Suitable for all levels, these sessions will explore pattern making and use of paint in a way that focusses on process as opposed to outcome. If you are looking for a way to unwind whilst exploring colour and creativity, these sessions are the perfect boost to wellbeing whilst developing your artistic skillset.
THURSDAY 13TH JANUARY – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Making Mandalas – Painting & Patterns
In this session you’ll explore circular shapes with your paints and biro. You’ll create a colourful mandala and relax into the repetitive nature of pattern making. You’ll use vibrant colour and develop skills in line work in a friendly and relaxing online setting.
THURSDAY 20TH JANUARY – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Sand Patterns – Zen gardens & Fluid Lines
In this session you’ll take influence from Zen gardens and sand patterns. Using fluid lines and abstract shapes, this mindful activity will hone your focus and you’ll come away with a beautiful series of pieces.
THURSDAY 27TH JANUARY – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Back to Nature – Leaves & Flowers
In this class you will use nature as your starting point. You’ll develop leaves and flowers with your paints and introduce patterning within these natural shapes. This relaxing session will support you in opening up creatively in a way that facilitates mindfulness and presence.
You will need:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Black pen or biro
- Paper towel
- Water
- Watercolour paints
- Paint brush (round and approximately size 10)
- Watercolour paper
- White wax. This could be a white candle, tealight or a crayon (OPTIONAL)
