Drawing Surfaces – Stone, Metal & Wood
METAL WORKS | STONE STRUCTURES | WOODEN LOGS
Delve into textures and unravel your mind with this series of drawing classes. You’ll learn how to portray smooth and shiny metal as well as the rough and textured surface of a stone. These sessions are suitable for all levels with participants supported in a friendly and supportive online environment.
MONDAY 5th SEPTEMBER– 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Metal Works – Shine & Contrast
In this session you’ll learn how to depict the smooth and shiny surface of the metal. Your teacher will support you in transferring the shape of an object onto the paper and developing form and depth to add a realistic touch to your work.
MONDAY 12th September– 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Stone Structures – Texture & Shadow
This week you’ll learn how to portray rough and smooth surfaces. Your teacher will explain the importance of shadow and introduce you to a range of drawing techniques. While developing your drawing skills you’ll produce a range of stone inspired compositions.
MONDAY 19th SEPTEMBER – 6:30PM – 7:30PM UK TIME
Wooden Logs – Line & Tone
In this class you’ll delve into wooden shapes and textures. You’ll be encouraged to work into the details of a log, looking at its knots and markings. Your teacher will introduce you to the importance of line work and tone. Unwind your mind whilst studying natural forms and tones.
