Photography – The Fundamentals, Effects & Composition
FUNDAMENTAL SETTINGS | EXPOSURE COMPENSATION | PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPOSITION
Join us for a series of photography sessions that will teach you how to use the three fundamental settings on your camera. You’ll explore depth of field, how to use sharp images and blur effectively as well as how to use composition creatively to create a successful photograph. Your teacher will be setting short projects at the end of the first two sessions and you’ll have the opportunity to send your photographs in for feedback.
TUESDAY 31ST AUGUST – 1PM UK TIME
FUNDAMENTAL SETTINGS – ISO, APERTURE & SHUTTER SPEEDS
In this session, you’ll gain a good understanding of how a camera works. You’ll learn about ISO, aperture and shutter speeds and how to create shallow and greater depths of field. Your project for the week will be to take two photographs demonstrating a shallow and greater depth of field.
TUESDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER – 1PM UK TIME
EXPOSURE COMPENSATION – CREATING SHARPNESS & BLUR
This session is all about exposure and shutter speeds. You’ll learn about exposure compensation and come away with a better understanding of shutter speeds and how it effects the image. Your project for the week will be to use a slow shutter speed to create artistic blur as well as a faster speed to capture action.
TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER – 1PM UK TIME
