Drawing Animals – Around the World

Join us in an animal inspired journey around the world. In this series we’ll draw a wide range of animals, from penguins to leopards, exploring different shapes, texture and tone. You don’t need any previous experience to take part. These sessions will help you to develop your drawing skills and hone your ability to observe in a supportive and friendly online environment.

Monday 4th April – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time

Jungle Biome – Warmth & Texture

During this first session you’ll learn to compose the facial features of a chimpanzee and capture the majesty of a sleeping leopard. Your teacher will support you in bringing pattern and texture into you work.

Monday 11th April – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time

Desert Creatures – Shape & Form

In this session you’ll explore how to portray kangaroos, lizards and meercats. Taking inspiration from these desert animals, your teacher will assist you in breaking down complex shapes and developing form to obtain realistic proportions in your work.

Monday 18th April – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time

Frozen Places – Tone & Movement

In this class we’ll look closer at the inhabitants of the Arctic and Antarctic regions. Your teacher will assist you in creating realistic drawings of penguins and polar bears and you’ll develop a strong sense of tone and movement in your drawing.
