Architectural Painting – The Structures We Inhabit
IN THE CITY | COUNTRY LIFE | SHORT STAYS
Join us in developing your watercolour painting skills in this series inspired by the structures and environments that we inhabit. Your teacher will support you in creating a series of vibrant paintings and you’ll explore different structures ranging from skyscrapers to tents. These watercolour sessions are perfect for all levels and you will be supported in a friendly and creative environment.
Thursday 7th April – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time
In The City – Reflection & Structure
This session will teach you about perspective and structures. Looking at the charming facades of Amsterdam, you’ll explore the structure of buildings and their reflections distorted by water. You’ll also learn to portray tall buildings, looking skyward from the ground.
Thursday 14th April– 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time
Country Life– Textures & Countryside
In this class you will delve into rural scenery and explore the different textures the countryside has to offer. Your teacher will support you in arranging your compositions and help you to develop a real sense of three-dimensionality in your painting.
Thursday 21st April – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time
Short Stays – Nature & Distance
In this session you’ll take inspiration from the more adventurous structures that we inhabit. You’ll look at tents and treehouses in breath taking places whilst learning to position your subject on the page and convey a sense of distance in your painting.
You will need:
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Black pen or biro
- Paper towel
- Water
- Watercolour paints
